Centro de Consejeria Familiar was created to provide high quality mental health outpatient counseling services to families that have difficulty accessing counseling resources, focusing on the underserved Spanish speaking community. Our mission is to help children overcome obstacles that lead to emotional dysregulation while teaching them emotional intelligence. Our goal is also to assist parents in adding more tools to their toolbelt in order to assist their children overcome emotional difficulties while also learning more about themselves to improve their mental health wellbeing.

I have always had a passion for helping people. As a Clinical Social Worker I assist individuals to discover their strengths and solutions to their life's circumstances. I also assist families with achieving healthier relationships, communication, and effective coping skills. I also provide parents with the skills necessary to communicate clearly and effectively with their children. Counseling occurs within a supportive and non-judgmental environment, where clients feel safe to discuss issues within their lives. I assist clients with various therapeutic processes, including solution focused, cognitive behavioral and play therapy.

During the past ten years I have worked as a clinical social worker in schools and nonprofit organizations, where I have provided both individual and group therapy to individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, family conflict, child abuse, and domestic violence.
